And another weekend to end all weekends, though I think this one CAN'T be beaten, unless you know better.

About 12 months ago It started with Rolfy Dave saying "fancy a ride, meet at our place", we went and coffee coixsants <sp> were for breckie, next as Tracy and Gary, bacon and coffee, then Tal-y-lin, bacon for breckie, pub lunch, buffet in another pub for tea, bacon again for breckie the day after. Then came the mini bash, over night in the Cottswolds, and the end of another season.
We, as you may remember had a mothers Day rideout in and around the Cottswolds and I then pushed Taffy and Ros into opening there home to us over the easter weekend. The storey goes like this,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

First 2 weeks in April, no rain, warm in the daytime, great. Saturday 19th. Cold, very cold, 5 hr ride to Cornwall, oh shite Thermals on, three Tee-shirts and heated grips on melt down, oh well. The ride down was ok but v-v-cold, we hooked up with Shrops and Lorna a junction 30 services, and then headed of down to Truro on the A30. We arrived at Taffies at 3 pm and they were out Aaaagghhh, Couple of phone calls and they were soon home after taking DB and Claire on a ride, who went down on the Friday, The bikes parked in Taff's paint shop/garage/bodyshop and 5th bedroom. we embarked on a evening of entertainment, eating and drinking.

Sunday came just as cold with wind and the threat of rain. DB & CB had to get off home due to family commitments so it was Tra-a-bit and Moog/Alex, Shrops/Lorna Myself/Anya and Taffy and Ros headed into deepest Cornwall to seek out the lesser spotted pastie. Ros booked a table at a beach front pub for lunch and more miles followed, we even visited a village that claimed fame as to have being Moogs home town, not that any of the locals would admit to this, cant think why.

Got back to the house just as it started to rain, perfect timming, bikes away, warm up and began to eat, drink and make merry, again untill the small hours.

Before we knew it its Monday and time to head off home. No rain and warmer with a lot less wind. We say our goodbyes to Taffy and Ros and Moog and Alex who were doing a family tour and away we went, Shrops peeled off at junction 29 to continue his quest to be a diddy and we headed for Stafford. 4pm and home, not too cold but well knackered.

The hospitality Ros and Taffy showed us was beyond the call of duty, the food was superb and enough to feed an army, and I have to pay special hommage to Intabrew. Why, because they employ Ros and give her a gernerous beer allowance which she shares enthusiastically with fellow Bird membersthat make it to Cornwall.

As was said at the top of the page. This has to be the untlimate weekend, if you think you can do better,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,lets have the dates.

Assen may be on a par, we will have to wait and see.

Must have been something to do with the smell from Marks trainers, or the numerous empty wine bottles
