Brilliant pic's Sam. Looks like you had an awesome trip in an awesome country. Brought back fond memories of when I hired a Super Electraglide in Florida in 1996 with my then girlfriend, from a company called Iron Horse Vacations (in Fort Lauderdale).

Am I right in saying that some (or all) parts of the San Fran tram car system has only recently reopened after a huge program to replace all the towing cables....? Were they not stretched to their limit after decades of pulling those trams up those hills...? thought I saw summat on the telly a while back... :dunno:

What a trip Sam and Amanda... throws me back about 17 years ago... When are we gonna meet to see more, and the vids, and the souvenirs brought back no doubt...

Jill and me did what would seem a very similar route a couple of years ago, in a drophead Chrysler Sebring, Palm Springs, Vegas - Bellagio fountains are awesome -, Death Valley Junction and the Amargosa Opera House - wierd!, Bishop - Yosemite - San Fran - Carmel (actualy saw Clint at his golf club) - Highway 1, top down, Beach Boys CD on full chat, down to Santa Monica and then onto Saddle Ranch on Sunset Boulevard (owned by Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper) the BEST holiday EVER.

You 've brought back a lot of happy memories from the last 17 years - Spent a week on a Harley cruising Route 66, two weeks cruising the Pacific coast highway from San Deigo to San Francisco, Skiing at Lake Tahoe, 8 week detachment at Edwards Air Base outside Las Vegas and many more.
