2014 McBASH Accommodation Update

Because we are looking at needing a few more B&B spaces, which Standing Gables can't provide, I have been up to Turriff today to look at the British Legion and asked them if they would take everyone as they have 12 rooms as follows;

4 x singles
3 x twin
4 x double
1 x family

This is looking like an alternative to Standing Gables once they confirm they can take us in.

So on the 2014 list for the LEGION I have the following down

Damien (single room)
Scott (single room)
Colin (single room)
Roy (single room)
John (double/twin)
Grant + 1 (double/twin)
[Andyxx + 1 (double/twin) - Now not coming - Room Spare]
Rob + Nikki (double/twin)
Peter (double/twin)
Steve (Ramo)

All rooms have En-suite and there is a fairly decent bar downstairs, its the first time I've been in there and was pleasantly surprised so for those guys above.

Obviously if anyone else who wants to come and prefers B&B then there is plenty of room in the Legion.

Don't forget Colin!! Another single room please.

Ok guys just got off the blower to them.

The cost of the single room is £35 per night, inc brekky
The cost of the double/twin is £57 per night, inc brekky
The cost of a double for single occupancy is £45 per night inc brekky

If you are all ok with that I will cancel Standing Gables because I have booked the RBL rooms to make sure they keep them.

If I can have ALL your 'proper' names (including other halfs!) so I can at least put names against rooms.

I know its a long way off yet but with the other event in the area at the same time I reckon bed space will dissapear as soon as its made public.

So either PM me or reply to this with your sunday name/s and the size of room you want, they all have en-suite I believe too.

By the way, first come, first served !!

Hi Russell.

I may come and join you again next year if that's OK (though I no longer have a blackbird. Current ride is a new Caponord 1200. Is there going to be any camping or has it all got much more civilized? If so, can you put me down for a single room at this stage?

Regards

Peter

Hi Peter
Good to hear from you again mate !
There is still the Marquee if you want to camp but we do have a couple of rooms free in the Legion (as above) but as they are now twins/doubles left it would be ?45 per night B&B to stay there so its up to you matey !
As for the bike, as someone riding my GS8 and Crosstourer more than the Blackbird now, the Capo is no problem !

Russ, stick me down for a double. I'll have to find a nice local lass to help keep me warm! Where is the accommodation relative to the other hotel?

Its about 8 miles from the Vale but I have a taxi arranged to collect you all in the evenings to save riding the bikes to the Vale for the evening meal/drinks.

As for the local lass, I'll ask Fat Fiona fae Fyvie if she's busy !!
