Looks like Florida John will be flying in for the Bash weekend again this year !
Missed the last couple of years due to job loss but back to work this year so this Yank just had to get back over again and throw back a few with you crazy geezers !
looking forward to winning the moped races again.........oops.........for the first time!

There are loads and loads of b and b places in the area and also a fair few hotels ( and a travel lodge ) so accommodation for folk not wanting to camp is plentiful ( providing it is booked early.. Remember, Thetford is a very popular tourist destination ( amazingly !! ) )
Sorry Jaws, still can't say if we're going yet....
Brother in law's attempts at securing a full licence are not quite going to plan.
Three go's at his Mod 1 so far and all's well until he hit's the avoidance thingy:
1 - below required speed through speed trap
2 - overshot turn before emergency brake point (sunny day but wet surface reflection blinded him)
3 - clipped cone with boot (instant fail apparently)
He's getting totally pissed off with it as he's doing the avoidance for real every other day on his commute into work..!
I've followed him on the roads and his riding's fine so he'll have no probs on the Mod 2.
Shame of it is that's he's already put a deposit down on a Kwak ER6F. He's up for another go next week so fingers crossed. @tu*

As a by the by...........
Tickets have stalled at about 50 peeps now.. We need 100 to break even so looks like the Jaws coffers are gonna take a hit to cover the extra lolly..
It will mean such niceties as name tags will, sadly, not be forthcoming as that would add another 50 quidlets to the bill !
I sort of expected it to be honest and am keeping my fingers crossed for some more bookings in the coming weeks @tu*

He'll do it in the end, so I'm still optimistic for the Bash. He's nothing if not persistent.
Given that his last bike was a GP100 back in 79/80 he's (re)taken to it like the proverbial duck..!
Just doesn't fancy riding his YBR125 to Thetford and back...
Dunno what the problem is really, a mate of mine used to ride his YB100 from RAF Odiham to South Shields for many a weekend... mind you his future wife was up there, which might have had something to do with it... ;-0))

Another 26 bodies and the costs are covered .. As I said before though... This IS gonna happen and I will cover any extra costs.. Not being flash, just think this is a worthwhile thrash and proly the last i will ever do, so what the hell !! LOL !
