Picked this up from someone who was at the show:
Asked a goon on the Honda stand what happened to the 2006 blackbird and he spilled the beans. Honda test rider Dave Hancock test rode it in Japan and told them it was no real improvment in the old model. As this is nearly a 10 year old design thats quite a slating. Anyway, Honda pulled it and are back at the drawing board. Dunno if this is public domain or not, but I hadn't heard it before. Though I'd be suprised the bloke in the stand told me this lot if it isn't already public
I guess it's also possible that Honda will be giving out the above reason when perhaps they pulled it to wait to see what the opposition come up with. Remember way back when Kawaki pulled the Z900 as Honda launched the CB750. They improved it and went back later.
