Hi all desperately looking for r reg black blackbird first registered 09 09 1997
Any help must appreciated first letters in reg R3

Would that be one of the first birds that were given to the journalists to thrash up to the magic 200 mph mark? If so good luck as there weren't many if I recall, you may want to ask the old git "jaws" when he gets back from his travels as I'm sure he may know the whereabouts of a few of them, though if the owners know what they've got they may be asking top dollar if they are selling at all. :dunno:

An early press bike was P820 LOY as featured in this video. I think an R reg registered in Spet 97 is more liekly (IMHO) to be one of the first sold to the general public

Pop the last few numbers of the vin plate not all of them and someone will be able to tell you if it's an early one or not!!:dunno:
