was recently on a bike trip from my base in pattaya to phuket, met up for a meets with some of the lads there, had a great time and the bike performed superb, here is a link to the trip with photo's, I'm in there somewhere :) some lovely machines of all makes and sizes only one other BB - a nice red one, was tempted to buy a ZX14R that's for sale right now (bottom link) but I think I'll stay with what I know

Looks like a great trip Smedly. Don't know why it is, but the mental image I had of biking in that part of the world was one of hordes of overloaded mopeds, push bikes and Tuk Tuk type things. Was a good shock to the system to see all those photo's in yer link @tu*

lol yeh my first images of thailand before I ever got here where dirt tracks and mud huts paddy fields and trillions of mopeds lol, the location for the meet was the Royal Thai Phuket Marina, you should have seen the size of some of those boats. There is a very big sport bike following here and the road are pretty good too. I could cruise at 140kmph most of the time, biggest problem here though is they will not allow bikes on their expressways, getting through large cities is a nightmare, instead of taking a tollway over and round Bangkok we had to navigate through the city streets and take a ferry across the river right below the flyover, it's about time they allowed big bikes to use the same as cars, maybe happen sometime in the next 20 years.

ooops 140kmph not mph lol,

your dad is prob a bit far away for me to meet up but wow good for him, if my BB lasts long enough I might still be riding it in 10 years time provided I keep using the best lubricants in my engine ........ ah just kidding

A 1500 mile round trip from Pattaya to Phuket alongside some wonderful machines and people, and travelling through some exotic locations is what I always thrive for. I wish I could be a part of a ride like this. I absolutely enjoyed looking at the pictures as the scrolling went on and on.
