Still kickin' it!
Is it still alive?

I checked my old GSXR750 a while back and it's still going strong, somewhere.

Well, if you remember the reg. no. check to see if it’s taxed and MOT’d.

Daft as it sounds, I got a real “kick” about the fact that mine was still on the road after all this time. Dunno why, but… :dance1:

Can't remember no.
It was a T100P ex police.
I saw another at a show with the next reg no.

I know what you mean.

I was gabbing with a mate I've known since school days about my Tiger Cub - told him I'd never forgot the reg. no. of my first bike which was "blah-dy-blah".
"No it wasn't", he said, "it was bloody-bloo". I insisted I was right until he sent me a picture from our schooldays. I'd forgotten all about it. He was right - I was wrong.

Cheating git had it for years and never told me!

My old RF900 as seen in my avatar has just popped up for sale on faceache he wants close to what he paid for it but it looks a bit of a mess now, such a shame as it was a cracking bike a little over a year ago :(

Doesn't take long for somebody to ruin your ex-bike - but has anyone ever bought
yours and spruced it up beyond recognition so you wish you'd never sold it?!

I remember rushing out to the paper shop to get "Motorcycle Mechanics" when I was
looking to buy my first bike and seeing my mate's old Bantam in the for sale ads. It was
a wreck when he sold it and it had been painted, polished and all the chrome restored.

Fookin gorgeous it was!

Oh, how we laughed! :qmeparto:

A few years back, my Missus bought a brand new CBR125R after she passed her test. She had that for a couple of years and commuted all year round. When she sold it the bike was absolutely pristine.
A bloke about my age bought it for his son's first bike. When I delivered it I noticed that the kid owned a ratty 50cc scooter which looked like it had done the Dakar.

Less than a month later we saw the lad riding it through town.... no fairing, cracked seat cowl, dented tank, heavily scratched and flattened exhaust, bent handlebar, broken front brake lever, missing right side indicators, bent right side mirror.
I swear there were tears in her eyes when she saw it....

"Beakerised" - I bet that'll make the list of new words for 2020 in the next edition of the Oxford English Dictionary.
