Scroll to very bottom and pick NEXT to get through the build.

I missed the NEXT first time.
Some adventure!!!
Nice to see someone benefitting from the weakness of the £!!!

There was a programme on earlier this week featuring a Mini having a Civic Type R motor stuffed in.......the kit was 'bolt in', complete with new subframe. It 'bolted in' very easily....once the inner wings were removed and the inlet manifold reduced in length by about three inches......

Old hat really, folks started putting calibra engines in mini's years ago you can buy a subframe for the job but you have to be willing to trim the firewall, this is just a version of that with a better motor

The one that impressed me was a mini van with a 5l v8 in the back that was kicking around a while ago

Get a car with a proper engine in to begin with and you don’t need to faff around shoe-horning other motors in.

If I were contemplating sticking a CAlibra motor in a Mini I would take a step back, have the Mini crushed and use the CAlibra.

In fact I would have all Minis crushed.

Last PROPER mini I owned I deseamed it, and fitted a mk II Jag dash in it.. with all the dials and switches !
I do not 'do' woodwork and it took me more than two days of very careful cutting to get it all to fit :)
