my heart sank when I saw who they were....the BBC have actually found away of dumbing it down even more, quite an achievement.

Wonder if they did their homework first.....

Both McGuinness and Flintoff have a number of motoring offences to their names.

McGuinness avoided a driving ban last year after hiring the lawyer sometimes nicknamed Mr Loophole, Nick Freeman. Despite the star having previously pleaded guilty to the driving offence, the case was thrown out on a technicality.

Flintoff, meanwhile, has avoided a ban on several occasions after being caught speeding. In 2014, it was claimed a ban would have an adverse effect on his extensive charity work.

Scraping the barrel but, it has to be said, better than that genital irritant Chris Evans.

Love them or hate them, I don't think it's possible to replace Clarkson, May and Hammond.

I reserve judgement on the new line up.. I honestly do not see how having motoring convictions makes someone more or less able to do the job

But your right, I doubt if anyone will be able to replace the turbulent trio

Yup, if they were murderers, armed robbers, drug smugglers or something then fair enough but a few points on the licence doesn't necessarily make someone unfit to be a tv presenter.

Clueless in most things
I think they have just turned it from the original, motor journalists who brought comedy to a motor show, to comedians bringing comedy to a motorshow. Perhaps it is now only a question of time before they sell it off.

Maybe it's me, but how can it be a good thing to have individuals who have clearly flouted the law on the road and done whatever they needed to do to avoid conviction presenting a family motor programme showing at peak time?

Sadly it looks like it is going to get even more 'laddish', not a good thing to my mind.

It's not as if these two are the only two potential candidates.

Bring back Angela Rippon.

I think people who have a flouted the law with 'aggressive use of the horn' are not best placed to comment on motor show hosts misdemeanours- or anything to do with motor vehicles for that matter.

Will watch it and give it a chance but I don't hold out much hope and why has Rory been pushed out?

I always thought Mark Webber would do well on TG, as well as Sabine Schmidt. I watched one episode of the newer lot and haven't watched since.

I can't see it getting any better with the new pair.
