Restoring my bird

Hello, new member. I'm currently restoring my cbr1100xx-w carby that I took in part ex last year and decided to keep it as I fell in love with it.

Been using JAWS for various parts etc and got recommended to this forum.

As said I am currently restoring the old bird to former glory but I also have a powder coating and restoration channel on YouTube if anyone wanted to check it out, always open to advice and tips of people, especially while stripping and rebuilding her!

I'll get a photo up in a moment of how she was when I got her. In the meantime check out my channel and don't forget to subscribe .

Many thanks

Thank you. It normally takes a few hours but if not the man who pushes the buttons Jaws will sort it. He has been away for a few days, not sure if he is back, I’ll give him a nudge.

Glad to hear you are replacing the downpipes.. they look suspiciously like Delkevic's and are KNOWN to cause major issues.. ( their zorst cans are excellent though ) :)

Standard steel downpipes I think, not delkivic and certainly not stainless. Are black widow pipes any good? I was considering delkevic as they are just down road from me and I can get one off the shelf.

Also I was thinking 4-1 as the cbr1200xx anniversary was as I may have a spare akrapovic end can from my RSV1000. Any thoughts or opinions on the 4-1?

Delkevic downpipes and Blackbirds do not mix apparently.

Will you be ceramic coating yours when you get them? Always seems a good modification in cars to me.
