I think we all agree it is unquestionably the finest film franchise of all time.

If you fancy a bit of light hearted entertainment around the subject might I recommend Expedition: Back to The Future on Discovery featuring Josh Gates (never heard of him but he is entertaining) and Christopher Lloyd AKA Doc Brown who is hilarious. Somemgrat trivia and history, and the trio round the DeLorean car franchise is truly awesome, never seen anything quite like it.
Actually no, it's not the finest film franchise of all time. That would be either the Jason Bourne films or Star Wars.

Nope.

Wrong.

Star Wars is hit and miss, the first one and maybe two others were excellent, the rest simply money spinners cashing in on the brand.

The original St Trinians films with George Cole were miles better.

Nope, I'm right. Fact.

The original three Star wars films were the best; the three retro hobbies were pretty good and the subsequent 7, 8 and 9, whilst money spinners, were good. The spin off series Mandalorian wasn't bad at all. I can't be doing with the animated movies though.

St. Trinian's movies were indeed hilarious.

You have not mentioned the Jason Bourne movies, so I'll accept that as tacit agreement.

Best TV show ever was the X-Files.

Lord of the Rings
Indiana Jones
Aliens
Jurrasic Park

The Bourne movies have one plot.... trained killer with memory loss is hunted by other trained killers. Beats them all.

Lord of the Rings is ok, but not my bag.
I couldn't get on with Indiana Jones for reasons I cannot explain.
Aliens - Awesome, especially the extended version of the second movie, Aliens.
Jurassic Park is another one I can't be arsed with.

The Hannibal Lecter films are another great series, with the exception of Hannibal Rising. It's ok, but that's all it is, just ok.
Other favourites of mine:
Saw
Resident Evil - Awesome!
Rocky
Taken

And let's not forget another one with a good claim on the best ever, Terminator.

I didn’t mention Jason Bourne movies as I’ve never heard of them.

They are, therefore, rubbish.

Wrong.

the full version of Catch Me If You Can with di Caprio is best movie ever.

Best musical is Evita. Although I have never watched The Sound of Music.

For pure total 100% entertainment it’s Back to The Future

Seven - best bit of that is the end. Gwyneth Paltrow getting her just desserts.

The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, The Bourne Legacy and Jason Bourne. All starring Matt Damon (except Legacy) and they;'re brilliant films. If you've never heard of the Jason Bourne films, you are a cinematic Philistine. Fact.

What, just for being Gwyneth Paltrow or has she committed a more heinous crime (if such a thing is possible)? It's a good film though, seldom see a bad film with Morgan Freeman in it.

Matt Damon is a fine actor. Superb in Billions.

I have heard of Bournemouth and Bournville, so hardly a Philistine.

Just for being Gwyneth Paltrow. Completely barking and one of the most deluded, self obsessed and dangerous "influencers" on the planet.
