Going to the horses in Bev’s Panda, a duckhead in a Nissan X-trail got impatient & overtook me, about one & half car lengths ahead he spun & ended up facing the wrong way, face was whiter than the snow as I passed him.

Out of interest, where did you get the panda from? Rescue centre?

Cougar377 , see, I told yer the Panda is an ace car.

I've also noticed that more and more duckheads are leaving BMWs and gravitating towards Nissans. I posted on here a while back that since coming home from Singapore, I'd noticed a new menace on our roads. In the period of time since I'd returned home and wrote the post, I'd had about four or five altercations with other cars and every single one was with a Nissan Squashscquatch.

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a Panda. Do they even exist outside of car mags..?

Currently, the SUV that's top of my shit list is the Range Rover. Every one I've encountered lately seems to be driven by a total duckhead.

If they're not blatantly staring at, or talking on their phone then they're parking on pavements, in disabled bays (without badge) and across two or more bays, speeding everywhere, driving 2 feet from your bumper, driving in the outside lane on an almost empty motorway or dual carriageway, never feckin' indicating (they put Beemer drivers to shame) .... the list goes on.

I remember driving home from work one winters night after work, it had been snowing so I was taking it easy, a colleague who lived in the next town was following me.

the next day at work, he told me he had been getting impatient with me and the way I had been driving the night before, and that when I had turned off he had put his foot down and nearly ended up in the ditch, he then understood why I had been doing the speed I'd been doing

Best snow/ice driving for my was in my Avenger Tiger.....literally going at walking pace a good fifty yards before a major crossroads where I did not have right of way.......despite my best efforts the car continued at walking pace straight through the junction, fortunately without being hit.

Also remember that car aquaplaning at about fifty miles an hour, absolutely terrifying, didn't even hit the kerb.

Many owners significantly upgraded the handling on Avengers by putting a couple of sacks of sand in the boot.:)

I used to put weight in the front of my parents Hillman Imp - before they took me off the insurance.

If you weren't going so fast you wouldn't need it

I used to live in a village where every route out was uphill, quite often I would be the first out on any particular route during winter whatever I was driving

When I had my landy i would take days off work "due to not being able to get out" then spend all day dragging various numpties up the hills & earning far more than if I had gone in & done a shift
