Yes John, well local-ish, I collected them from near Roadford Lake. They’re a rubber mat. I’ll find the link and add it to this. It maybe an idea for you to drop down one day when we’re out of lockdown to see if you like them

Added a third Optimate to charge the third bike. I have a dread of a dead battery.

Not necessarily the best way to go about it.
As my viffer virtually had to sit outside I'd got into the habit of plugging it in as soon as it was away.
Bought the BIRD and carried on with same habit. Happy days until I was away for a few days. Optimate had
hid the fact that my charging circuit was goosed!
Every time I'd gone out previously I had a fully charged battery.
But when away I had no way of giving it a boost and it eventually died!!

An Optimate is the quickest way to a dead battery IMO.

If you do insist on an optimate, you don't need 3. Just the 1 that you put on the first bike overnight. 7 days later put it on the second bike overnight. 7 days later put it on the third bike overnight. 7 days later start again.

That’s why I fitted a voltmeter, gives me a heads up on what’s going on, warned me when the connection between stator and reg/rec was burning out.

Don't know whether they have updated things since I bought mine but, after buying mine and doing a bit of reading
I found that actually an Accumate was the better way to go. So promptly changed mine.
(Can't remember the reasons as I've slept a few times since then!)

Oh well, during the lockdown I actually had Covid !!!, so that kept me occupied trying to breathe and stop hallucinating !!

So I thought I would see if 1000`s of us wanted to march the length of the country in protest about covid measures, who needs isolation and a vaccine when you can MARCH !!!?
( It wont help spread it, will it ?????? )
