Still laughing about this from last week...
Took the Bird for its Mot (the bike not the wife).
Bike passed no advisories...I was just leaving the garage premises
and about to turn right into the adjoining road when a Transit van pulled
right across my bows blocking me in.
Ayup I thought whats his problem...Builder type guy gets out, approaches
me and says" I used to have a Blackbird..But I had to sell it"
"Oh bad luck mate" I replied
"Not really I fucking hated it..The power was all top end and the riding
position crippled me !!"
He then tried to sell me a set of bar risers and a Givi rack!!!
I should have asked him what kind of bike that he was used to riding but
was lost for words at the time ..:risas3:

I have heard it said that the carbie bird is " unrideable due to the aggressive power band above 6k rpm" ( a comment from a MCN review on used blackbirds )
I would suggest anyone making such statements go back to the bike they had before and leave blackbirds to those of us who enjoy a bit of get up n go !

A mate of mines old Blackbird was used in some televisual show about someone trying 3 different bikes to find a new one! Like house in the Sun but for bikes.

He, and his wife as pillion, duly rode said Bird then said that they didn't like it as it was too comfortable! :meparto:

I've never heard so much shite in all of my life.

EDIT:

Found it!

When I had my bird my wife would always go to sleep in the back of it.

If it didn't give him the grin factor, then he wasn't riding it right.

I have to admit I often found myself having a nap when sat on the back of Malc's Blackbird and that was one of the fast red ones

Took mine out yesterday and the power delivery never fails to stick a grin on my face.
