All weatherproof some time ago, just a few bits of upvc needed to finish it off nicely.
Also need to chop out and replace a fairly large and complex shape piece of timber from one of the supports. Quite looking forward to doing that!
Returned to work today after a month of furlough.
Shocked at the change in attitude from when I was last in work (August), maybe some of it is due to the declining business.
Many of those I work with/alongside are from the areas subject to the additional restrictions.
Despite this I am shocked that the almost universal viewpoint is that it's now time to return to working normally. Wearing of face masks is decreasing. From colleagues and service partners I'm being told they don't believe it's as bad as they're being told.
My employer plus service partners are responsible for a considerable number of people. They're claiming that through the organisations they've had very few cases and single numbers of deaths - those from people already seriously ill.
I've made myself very unpopular today expressing a contrary viewpoint. Turd in a swimming pool comes to mind.

I can't say I'm surprised at the attitude of some of your colleagues and I think it's going to be more apparent over the coming weeks. As well as people being generally titsed off with the situation, a number of experts are now stating that we might as well return to normal on the basis that thousands have been infected but not shown any signs or developed any symptoms.

I have been disgusted by some stuff I have seen on Facebook from people I know that normally are sensible - work reunions, mass family gatherings for seventieth birthdays,and so on.
I formed the view early on that a lot of people just don't give a shit and the only way they will change is if it directly affects them or their loved ones.

Today's trivia fact - I financed the first Z3 to come into the UK.

Finished off the latch fitting....took delivery of the new bog pan ( got the corner cistern yesterday )
Tried it in place and it all fits.. Gonna have to move a couple of rad pipes but that will be done when the hot and cold pipes are tapped in to for the hand basin ( when the floorboards upstairs gets ripped up )

Had a think about why the engine in the scarifier won't fire. All out of ideas at the moment.
Watched the end of the PGA at Wentworth, wistfully thinking that today is the day I was due to be there in bmw hospitality.
Got my bobble hat out for golf tomorrow, 4c forecast at tee time.

Went to Aldeburgh for fish and chips. Was meant to be dry according to my apps but got caught in three brief but heavy down pours. Two punctures, a number of fuel stations closed so was on fumes. 6.5 hours out and about in a fair bit of sun and not too cold. Just getting them done before the ice, salt and cold settle it.

Went for a ride up the Snake Pass to Ladybower reservoir then across to Grindleford for lunch and back home again.
It was working fine until I had to replace a fuel priming bulb - I didn't change anything else, after replacing the bulb it ran weakly for about twenty seconds before conking out and refusing to even splutter since then.
I have removed the carburettor and it looks fine other than possibly another priming device (choke?) may not be moving freely but it's hard to tell without knowing exactly how it's supposed to work. It could be that the carb is flooding if this isn't working properly.
I'm beginning to wonder if there is some sort of safety switch somewhere that has failed - like most garden machinery you need to pull in a spring loaded handle and simultaneously hold a button in to allow it to fire up on the pull cord.
It's definitely getting fuel as I can see it in the supply pipe and it sprays out the airbox when the filter removed while trying to start.
How do I test for spark on a pull start?
