Here's washing a pinlock, can't find it now but these guys did one on the ordinary visor as well.

That was really interesting. I've only ever given mine a wipe with a dry lint free cloth.

I washed out a kitchen cleaner spray bottle and keep a mix of water and a very small amount of handwash liquid soap in it.
I put kitchen paper over the visor and spray with mix and leave for a while.

I was told way back that tissue can scratch, so far ok.
I have a little "face cloth" designed for the job I got in bike shop but never used it.

I have a Schuberth and they warn never to immerse visor in water.

I use this stuff.
The small bottle and cloth roll together and fit in the pouch- take up no room/can fit in a pocket.
Coupla sprays on your visor, wait a few minutes for the bugs to soften, wipe off and shake cloth, another spray then polish.

What do you peeps use to clean your visor?

I've always given the outside a good dose of Mr Sheen, leave for a minute then wipe off.

I recall a thread on friendface about how the chemicals in household polish are not very good for them but as I'm no longer it, I cant (dont want to) find it.

Do different manufacturers reccomend different things?

I've got a Schuberth but cant find any recommended product.

When out in the field, so to speak. Microfibre cloth and a bit of spit...old school, but works well.

Had to retrieve some some out of storage yesterday and found a bottle of Autoglym visor cleaner. I'll give that a go and report back.
