Just watched the film and although I enjoyed it I didn't find the two lead characters particularly convincing.
They came across as being more like a couple of Army cadets, lost in the woods.

Anybody go to see Fury when it was out?
Watched that twice. Excellent movie about a battle fatigued veteran American tank crew during the last months of the war.

Watched it at the flicks when it first came out, not historically correct but I enjoyed it none the less, even the mrs said it was good which is high praise from her on a war film

Watched it at the Cinema and kept finding myself looking for the edits.

Recently watched it at home with the Mrs and enjoyed it more ... but obviously missing the anticipation element

I haven’t seen it yet, but weren’t the soldiers fighting in the war little more than schoolboys lost in the woods anyway?

Average age of a squaddie in WW1 was around 30 apparently.

Wasn't a fan of 1917, the plot just seemed a bit thin made up for by CGI, if you compare it to something like Enemy at the Gates which was 2001 it seems poor.

I don't mean for historical accuracy as I have no idea, I just mean for watching a film that keeps you engaged.

Beats me why they didn't just get an aircraft to fly over and drop a dispatch. Movie length 5 mins... job done. :D
