If Only We Could...

Dark Angel

Still kickin' it!
It bloody-well is a fantasy ride - why people don't read the flamin' thread. :BangHead:

It was just geddin' goin' an' you (Slim) stick the boot in (mumble-grump!)...
:ciappa:

If we can get a few more peeps in we could look at the best rendezvous point for all concerned. Pow-Lo's already said that he'd need an extra day if we made the Borders our destination, and that made me think it's a bit too much to ask of a solo rider, even for a "virtual trip". Anyone out there who could meet-up with Pow-Lo? At a pinch, I'd be happy to meet up with you, Grasshopper (the Ponderosa springs to mind - obviously! :p), and anyone else who'd like to join our Welsh contingent. Then we'd head up to Kirkby Lonsdale for a stopover, meet Jeffa the following morning to continue to the Borders.

Any body from the North-West with a bit of imagination could "meet-up" with us there, too.

Come on - let's play out fer fooks-ache... Goin' fookin' bonkers, me, I am... :cursing::demon7::firedevil:

The idea is - get it organised now - then DO IT when we can. Comprendez?

Didn't there used to be a section for regional hideouts, somewhere on the site?
Scotland, N/West Eng, N/East Eng, Midlands, S/West Eng, S/East Eng, North Wales, South Wales, Ireland

Just wondering...

Anyway...

Jeffa and I in N/W Eng
Pow-Lo in South Wales

Anyone in the other regions wanna play...?

Even if you can't make it in reality, you could still offer your suggestions (steady!) as to routes/stopovers etc. that would add something positive to both to the "virtual" trip and to the actual trip when Lockdown is finally lifted.

It's just a biker thing, I guess...:nusenuse:

I do apologise for the confusion, Old Chap - and thanks for the offer of accommodation for the Welsh hordes who just might leave you with two sticks to rub together when they've finished raiding your pantry and drinking your beer! (y)

As long as they leave me a nice chunk of yew tree I can whittle a longbow & sort them out in the traditional manner long before they get back to the dyke :D

Would it be too far to include the affluent and beautiful south east in the tour??

Attention to detail, Mr B.

Not really your strong point, is it? :p

I have no strong points. Less than average in every feasible way.

I believe those sections disappeared some time ago as a result of lack of use.

Never understood why they were there myself, more suited to a forum aimed at motorised cycles.

Thats not a bad little route, you could Aberystwyth to it. At Newtown, on the A483, bear right and follow A470, then A44 to Aber then north to Machynllyth and back through Bala to A5.

Believe me when I say that I was going to revive this, earlier today; then I remembered that Wales is still "closed":
but, all being well, we may be able to get out for a meet in the next few weeks or so, so get yer kit ready lads.

Let's get ready to roll! (y)

(Gonna start a new thread int rideout forum. See ya there!) :eusa_dance:

Sounds a great run but don't we have to keep under 15 mph in North Wales? I though the chief cop up there was a bit of a twat when it came to speeding, Bumstrop or something?
