Dark Angel
Still kickin' it!
Yesterday I was having a bit of a blether with a neighbour and she was suggesting that, because the planet was being given a rest from all the pollution we cause through industry, travel (trains and boats and planes), traffic etc. the earth was being given a chance to recover its natural balance. “That’s why” she said, “the weather’s suddenly so much better!” I just nodded; not in agreement, but because it was a nice day and I didn’t care what she thought: after three months of virtually non-stop rain I was just happy to see a bit of sunshine.
Last night, I gave it a bit of thought myself and decided that, as it’s springtime anyway and it would take more than just a few days/weeks to disperse hundreds of years-worth of pollution, what’s the easiest way to prove or discount her theory? Then, came the answer; our very own Ponderosa Rideout thread shows indisputable evidence that the weather forecasters (at least, on the web) were reasonably accurate in predicting that the best time to get out without ending cold and/or wet would be towards the end of March. There’s even post dated 28 January that lends credence to my little hypothesis, so now I can return confidently to my discussion with my neighbour and tell her to fook off.
Cheers, all.
