...Sorta... gettin' ready for summer... :zplayita:

..."Biker stuff".

...Anyway... Assuming there'll be one or two posts on this thread...;)

Well, I had a loverly ride around the Peak District last Sunday. Loverly sos butty and coffee at Edensor tea room- part of the Chatsworth Estate.
I have also bin having fun explorating greenlanes and unsurfaced roads in the PD on an old XR250 and amusing myself by falling offt quite a lot.
I will be doing my annual trip for a play on the IOM before the TT happens.

So lots of two wheeled adventures in the day and lots of taunting Beaker in the evenings.

Life looks rosy.

ordered two new tyres .. Fiddled about a bit with the gopro mount, general check over..
Then disconnected the battery as it will not move for nearly three months
Gonna be limited to the 125 scoot.. But that will get the miles piled up on it.. gotta make the most of all that sun !

Organising a trip to the pre TT classic this year, with an old mate of mine well actually my best man at my wedding in 1975. He is still racing sidecars at 71 years old, and as he has been living in Neath for the last 33 years I thought he could do with some a Devonshire drinking buddy .
Ooh and up to the classic bike show at bath and west show ground in Feb with a load of buds.

Sod it... The day is fantastic for a January
Went round the garage, re-connected the battery and went for a ride..
Only went from Thetford to Watton to Mundford and back.. It is the local equivalent of the TT circuit.. Bit of everything, loads of bends ( some spoiled nowadays by a totally unwarranted 50 limit )
Just great to get some wind in my face

Put a chicken casserole in the slow cooker this morning, got picked up by some mates, went clay shooting (did abysmally) went to the pub after and enjoyed a couple of pints of real ale, came home had my meal (very tasty).
Am now settled in with a very large rum and shrub reading the drivel on here. Oh yeh, went into the garage and said hello to birdy and daisy all polished and ready for the spring. All in all a good day :).

I put a kilo of braising steak and pre-prepared veg with stock and salt and pepper in MY slow cooker and went and did some work on my Achilles 24 sailboat. (Too small to be called a yacht) Came back home when it got dark and enjoyed the first of three meals from my slow cooker with a glass of McGuigan Black Label Merlot. Not normally a fan of merlot, a bit too flabby, but I make an exception for this one. All in all a good day. :D

Having been running round on the Crosstourer for the last few weeks, worrying about stopping and getting a firm plant with my tip toes.
I've just lowered it by 20mm, doesn't sound much but the bike feels small now!
I think once I get a bit more confident about its weight (606lb), I can see I may revert it back to standard!!!
