But we are still left with a bumbling idiot who couldn't run a market stall never mind a country, better than the alternative I admit but Minkey is right lunacy rules from now on
Well, it’s a bit like the last US presidential elections in that the candidates were Trump and Clinton. A country that big and that was the best they had? The mind boggles. Anyhoo, Bozza isn’t as dumb as he’d have you believe and furthermore, he’s likely to surround himself with clever people in his cabinet.

The alternatives were either Corbynski and Abbott running the show or some sort of bastard-coalition with Swinson and Corbynski or, heaven forbid, Swinson and the Krankie. I’ve just traumatised myself writing that!

Do not believe all that seems apparent Slim

I am amazed that the cons have made so many gains in this very labour intensive area.

Why are you so amazed, Ian? They really had no option. If a Tony Blair type Labour party had been available Boris would have been blown out. I think once the sensible reds, if that is not a contradiction in terms, get shot of the "back to the future" nutters that is what they will aim for. Perhaps even bringing back Tony B Liar in an advisory role. Wouldn't that put the cat among the pigeons.

I don’t know what news you’ve been following but Comrade Corbynski didn’t win.

I'm not a Corbyn fan in fact I think he should resign, but Johnson scares me. You will be ok if you are earn over £80000 as you will get a nice tax cut but someone has to pay for it and how long before he sells off the NHS to the American's and we have to pay for every Dr visit?

The one thing that scares me about BoJo is that scruffy creep Cummings, who's usually stood behind him. Now that he's won, I hope he has the good sense to give that twat the elbow.
He wouldn't look out of place in an SS uniform.

Than"selling off the NHS" story is bizarre.

Every senior Conservative minister has flatly denied it.

Of course as a country we have to do deals with the US, the biggest drug manufacturer by far, for drugs to use in the NHS. Hardly selling the NHS. Can't help thinking the story has been twisted to suit a few agendas....

Aside from what Beaker said, paying for a visit to the doctor would be no bad thing providing it was properly managed. That’s what happens in Singapore; you pay to see the doc and again for your drugs. Not the prescription, the price of the drugs. The bad part is paying but the good part is that you can see the doctor almost immediately and the surgeries are not choked up with hypochondriacs and idiots with nothing better to do. They’re also clean. And here’s where the ‘property managed’ bit comes in; in Singapore I was paying about 12% tax on a salary 30% more than I’m on now.

I haven’t seen anything about tax cuts for those earning over £80k a year but if you think Corbynski was only going to tax high earners, you’re badly mistaken. He was going to hit everyone. Oh, and the super-rich that he promised to hammer would have all left the country. Imagine what that would have done to the economy!

Agree. He’s a nasty piece of work and needs getting rid of.

One other big plus that has been overlooked.... we will no longer have to listen to Arlene Foster. She had her moment of fame and will hopefully now realise that she's a very small fish in a very large pond.

A lot of people struggle to pay for prescriptions now without having to pay to see the Dr as well, I am not talking about unemployed people but those who are on the minimum wage.

And that’s my point; how many of these people REALLY need to go to the doctor in the first place? I’m not talking about those with infections that need treating with antibiotics and more serious conditions, I mean the scuffers with a ‘bad back’ and those ‘not feeling well’.

It is unfortunate that there would be some genuinely sick people that might fall seriously ill (or worse) because they couldn’t afford to see the doctor. However, I think a lot more of these genuinely sick people could be seen a lot sooner, thus preventing their condition deteriorating (or worse), because the doctors would have better availability if their time wasn’t being wasted by idiots and hypochondriacs.

I agree the buffoon is the best of a bad lot but he's still a lying tory that's been hanging around working to line his own pocket for years, I wouldn't trust anything he says anymore than I would trust corbyn, abbot or the rest, the whole lot of them have a proven track record of saying one thing & then when in a position of power doing just as they please

Only time will tell I suppose !

Sorry mate but there is a huge difference between being well educated & being intelligent, I think boris is probably the former when what we actually need is the latter

It remains to be seen whether he does what he has said or does the normal tory thing & does what he wants

I don’t know his entire history but part of his education is from Eton College and Balliol College at Oxford Uni. I would say that those stats would make him better educated than average, but I recently learned that Fuckwit Abbott read history at Cambridge.
