Is anyone else genuinely scared at the possibility of waking up to a government led by Comrade Corbynski in the morning or is it just me? The thought of him and that fat, retard Abbott running the country positively terrifies me.

Oh Yes. We'd be entering the dark ages again if Labour got in and the country would be unlikely to recover in our lifetimes.

Well, looking at the shortage of nurses in NHS I'm not sure of the difference.

I was/am seriously considering moving to France. We’ve been looking at properties for a while now, initially as a holiday base for our motorhoming meanderings - it’s just where to go and buy as it’s such a huge big lovely place. 3 beds, garage, workshops, a couple of acres of land and you can buy in a nice area for £125k/£150k no worry. Je parle un petit peut francais , pas de probleme. It sounds idyllic until you realise you’re in a foreign country, wife doesn’t speak French (barely speaks good English :D) and isn’t in a great state of health.

I’m already regretting moving back here from Singapore and there’s almost six hours of voting left yet.

Anything would be better than the Republic of and England and Wales under Comrade Corbynski and Fuckwit Abbott. I’d rather live in Beirut.

Spend any time on a hospital ward and I guarantee you'll see a gaggle of nurses stood around gabbing about the X-Factor, I'm a Celebrity, Strictly, etc. while others do their work.
One of the reasons my other half moved into an admin role from physio was because she was hacked off with doing their work before she could get on with the business of providing physio treatment to patients.

This whole "nurses must have a degree" crap now churns out staff who think they're above doing the more mundane and unpleasant duties that nurses used to do.

No. Not France. I'd rather stay and fight for the Resistance, if it comes to it.

Something that suddeny dawned on me when I read it, was the story of a Labour activist handing out leaflets outside a polling station in East London (which is illegal (The handing out leaflets not the polling station before anyone says anything).

Copper turned up and did not know that it was illegal.

Then it dawned on me, that back when I was a young copper, a Policeman (or woman) was provided to every polling station in the division to ensure that no naughty happenings occured, such as handing out leaflets.

But the point was, that us young bods (they always gave it to the youngsters) were briefed in respect of what was and wasn't allowed and we stayed at the polling station from when it opened until the boxes were removed and were on their way to the counting station. (for many of us it was worked as a voluntary overtime/rest day work duty so we earnt a few bob) but these days there is no presence at all.

Shows how times have changed. I know that it comes down to manpower and costs, but it used to be one of the fundemental policing jobs on election day and we at least knew the basic rules.

Hey ho!.............

Mark Twain summed it up perfectly “if voting made a difference they wouldn’t allow us to do it”

Billy Connolly's comment summed it up for me.... "the mere desire to become one (an MP) should bar you from ever being one".

Even more worrying when you read a lot further down is the info on comrade corbinski, I wasn’t aware quite how deep and low he’s dug himself over the years
