I am looking to replace one of our tellies
Woman is happy to stick with what she has which means I can replace mine

BUT

Sky is fed throughout the house using the standard coax feed.
Sky box's output in analogue not digital
All our tv's are analogue and digital capable, so off air stuff is digital while one channel ( the output from the Sky box ) is analogue

Anyone know of a large format tv ( up to 60" ) which has analogue capability ?

I cannot be the only one with this issue !

No good mate.. cant use it in the van, and the coaxial output is still analogue
Oh dear.. Just spoke to two people at Richer Norwich.
They did not know the difference twixt analogue and digital..
When I got over that hurdle they said ALL tellies had it ( I have already spoken to Samsung this morning and they said they do not )
In the end I suggested the LG range and they said Oh yes, about £3000 for one

So basically they did not know their arse from their elbow... Does not inspire confidence

That's a shame. Been dealing with my local store for years and they have always been excellent. 3 grand is bollocks. I have an LG Oled and didn't pay anything like that for it.

Time to ring LG?

I have found the LG web site most helpful. lots of choices and good info
Just done a price check and every model I am interested i is cheaper at Currys than at Richer any way :)

Richer offer a 6 year guarantee. Not sure about currys but it's worth bearing in mind.

Fine choice sir. Feed that with a 4k HDR signal from a blu-ray player and the picture quality is absolutely stunning.

You'll need to have a fiddle with the calibration though. The factory settings are to make it look good in the showroom. Couple of decent videos on youtube to make life easier.

It's OLED but I'll let Beaker explain what that is.....

On a different tack, I was going to plumb in the Sky box into the motorhome via HDMI as the newer boxes are not equipped with coax outlets.

additionally Sky Q requires a different LNB to the one on my Oyster skew system so I’m staying with what I’ve got.

Yup. we use a Pace 12v box in the motorhome, so just yank the card from our home box and put it in the Pace
No messing about

Really? I was told that the cards need to be coded per machine, I take the box out of the conservatory and use the inverter to run it. A 12v unit would be far simpler.

Ahh.. but the Pace is old tech and the card swap is not a problem...

Showing as not available, but there is one on the ‘bay for £100.

is it still a viable proposition considering the age of it - will it still receive everything? HD is not a necessary consideration.
They used to be about £60 but are so sort after the price is going up and up..
They are very solid bit of kit and do receive everything
About 4 years ago one came up on Motorhomefun forum for £40.. I grabbed it as a spare
