My road tax is £540 pa and my fuel consumption is 24mpg on a good day. Hence I bought my immaculate Saab 95 estate for £500. That car is prolly worth about £2k on the right day. Interestingly it passed the new inner London test!

All Saab drivers are arrogant.

Saab 95 or 9-5? I had a 95 way back in the late 80s. A seven seater estate with a Ford V4, column manual change and a foot-operated lever by the clutch pedal that disengaged the gearbox and allowed the car to freewheel. A brilliant car that unfortunately suffered body rot and had to be scrapped.

9-5, SB. I had the 99, 900 and 9000 turbo. All great cars.

Very sad what happened to Saab - we used to use it (and others) as a case study on how good brands can be destroyed by the bean counters.

All brands have to evolve to survive (except Morgan:D) ...how many what were 'respected and admired' brands have gone the wrong way.....for example, Stanley, Adidas and others now sell cheap Far East tat.

Cougar 377 - you may want to rethink the 'bad spelling' thing....the bad incorrect spelling in the picture is entirely appropriate and quite witty in it's context!
