That moment when your child is in a soft play area & you are enjoying a hard earned coffee & chill, then your two year old emerges from the soft play area & comes up to you & gives you a big cuddle, you throw your arms around her then realise she smells funny, you look & to your horror she is plastered in shit, BUT.........it’s not hers.

What would you do?

Daughter complained to the owner who calmly stated, “oh that’s my daughter, it’s the fourth time she’s done it” & thought it was amusing, my daughter said “I hope you’ve got a washing machine & dryer here as you are going to clean this mess” the woman just looked at her & with a cocky attitude said “I don’t think so love” I somehow don’t think this soft play area will last long.

Coming back from Cornwall yesterday while sharing the roads with 10m other Grockles (see, you can learn a new word on Bird occasionally) it struck me that kids were running round service station car parks and petrol station forecourts without supervision.

People really do change when they get into 'holiday mode'.

I was in a pub one day having something to eat with my brother and at the next table was two young mums chatting away whilst their young children were climbing on tables and throwing food around, the mums seemed oblivious to what they were up to.:nusenuse:

That's not "holiday mode", that's "default mode" for a lot of parents these days.
