First the letter from insurance regarding road rage incident, next we get an automated phone call stating our internet connection is going to be disconnected in the next 24 hours due to being hacked, did 1471 & it comes back as a local number, somebody called Barbara pickard from Cemetary road Wombwell, our internet is with sky.
Went to get something from the garage which meant moving the bike, it would have been sensible to disconnect the optimiser first, connector now broken.
Think I might cancel the rest of the day.

One of my ex-customers from the place I walked out of last year sent me a box of mixed selection beers (from Beer Hawk) for sorting out a technical issue that they couldn't fix.

Made my day.

Rain ... rain... and more rain.
Every time I stepped outside it started raining

That fone call is a well known scam Derek

But I have done the heated grips now so ready to get some miles on the tyres.

Next thing will be to add a extra 12v socket under the seat

After nine months of battling a team of carpenters turned up this morning to commence four days of scheduled remedial works on fourteen properties that I am involved in managing....they had run out of materials at the end of the third house, won't be back for three or four weeks while some timber cladding is machined to order.

Took the courtesy car back to BMW to swap for mine, remembered (eventually) to get the golf clubs out of the boot but forgot the bag on the back seat containing business bank statements.......car has already been taken away by another customer.....

Bought ten boxes of Earl Grey tea in an Sainsbury on the way home, got to the self service till to pay and it came up as 50p per box more than the price on the shelf and on the website. 25 minutes to sort that out.

Mother in law very unwell so Mrs Beaker has left me home alone for the foreseeable future, we are supposed to be going to Jersey next week.

Think I will also cancel today.

I get 3 or 4 automated internet cut off calls a week.

I suppose they only need a few unanitiated to panic and return the call and the scammers will make their money.

I always clock the number and report it to TPS

I had the scam phone call first thing this a.m. just as I was off to golf.

It poured with rain, Molly (caddy Labrador) was sick on the first tee. Had to give my opponent far too many shots and I contrived to lose on the 17th

Got home soaking wet through my ‘waterproofs’

Should have cancelled the day.

Why I why did I post the above.

As soon as I finished typing Mrs B called from her mums saying 'I think there is a water leak here somewhere'.

She was right, suspect it is under the bath which, needless to say, has been fully tiled with no access. And, of course, the pipe which is leaking (hot water from combi) did not have any isolation valves anywhere at all.

It has now.

Lazy bastard penny pinching plumber.

Despite the Bath being fully tiled I hope the leak is under there.......there are outside hot and cold taps for the hot tub that the previous owners had...isolated by means of ballofix valves in the cavity in the external brick and block wall, only access being holes in the tiling the size of 2p pieces. Now, it is hardly unheard of for ballofix valves to leak.............

I too wish today had been cancelled.

To add to the weirdness...it's my birthday next week, just opened a card that was delivered this morning, seemed a bit early.......it was posted on 10 June 2018 for last year's birthday.

And all I have had to eat since about 6pm last night is a sausage roll at the golf club and I don't feel hungry in the least.

Definitely something in the air.

That's a bit harsh.

Having said that, he does have frilly curtains and pink carpet in his garage.
Jealously is a nasty thing to suffer, and I'm sure you won't let it colour your view on pink carpets or even "frilly" curtains :D

My roof is leaking again, I blame Jaws, he must have stepped outside again and caused it to rain in South Lincolnshire.

Sadly for Mrs L, I'm currently in a nice warm & dry office in North Cambs.
