Welcome.

Keep changing bits and it won't be a Blackbird at all.

Can only be a good thing.

Awful tarmac, grass in need of attention, fence needs preservative and that very much looks like a council house in the background.
Not that it has anything to do with a bike site. but that isnt my home . they are the pics the guy that sold it me took.
so far not a great welcome to the site. maybe i was wrong coming here. so everyone only like stock birds it seems ?

You will see you need a thick skin to be on here:p.

Me? I don't like Birds or indeed motorised cycles of any sort.

Seriously, most gain tons of valuable Bird, related stuff on here, you won't regret it....especially when your charging circuit fries itself.......:p

Oh dear, what a melt.

Have you checked for a bent frame?
It screams crashed bike, to me.

If you want a naked 'Bird, why didn't you get an X11?

Not sure how it's wired in yet, only picked the bike up yesterday.
But it has replaced the ignition key, that is just Used for tank n seat.
Pressing the big button on the remote turns the bike on, the little button does nothing (maybe that was used in a car to start the engine).
I'll see how it goes for a month or 2 to see if I like it and it's reliable. There is a spare battery for the remote under the seat just in case it goes flat.

Who said I wanted a naked bird, I don't like the look of the X11.
The reason I got this bike is I really like the look, it just so happens it was a bird.

Nice to see something different.

I must admit I have never been a fan of naked bikes but as long as it floats your boat then the world is a good place.:b1:

Just a thought on the ignition - if you only have one fob may I suggest you explore sourcing a second - twice I have had fobs fail on me, fortunately both times I had a spare in the pocket!!

By the way, when you add a photo yo can expand it to full size - check the full size option next to the thumbnail when you add the photo.

I have taken the liberty of expanding the photos you have already posted.

I have had similar set ups with no problems at all.. Only tip I would suggest is put a spare battery under the seat. I didn't and finding an AG13 near Santa Pod on a Sunday evening is no bloody joke !
