Nah. I’m done wasting my thumbs explaining stuff to Beaker. He can’t read English and, on the rare occasions he chooses to, he ignores the content nd proceeds to ask intolerably thick questions. Even when he gets it in stereo from two of us.

He will never accept that my car is faster, more powerful, more economical, cooler, more aesthetically pleasing and generally smells better than his.
Nor will he accept that he spent all that money and still has to change gear. That's just barbaric.

It seems then Scotty, that you will have to get rid of your 2006? one and get a 2007 registered one or try something different. The ktm not pass?

I think part of the problem is the date they are using for ulez

How much is the ULEZ charge? How to avoid paying
Vehicle type Min. emission standard ULEZ Charge if below emission standard
Motorbikes Euro 3 (all bikes registered since Jul 2007) £12.50
Cars & small vans Petrol Euro 4 (since Jan 2006)
Diesel Euro 6 (since Sept 2015) £12.50
Vans Petrol Euro 4 (since Jan 2007)
Diesel Euro 6 (since Sept 2016) £12.50
Lorries & coaches Euro VI (since Jan 2014) £100

if that's right then they maybe using the date of july 2007 as their benchmark rather than bikes who have attained euro 3 before that date and if you can prove the bike is euro 3 then they should be open to updating their data base

The tractor passes fine so no problems there.

Mine is a May 2007 registered bike but 2006 is the last build date.

The rules say Euro3 but MAG published the exemption information which is based on the NOx emissions. Some refer to it as a loop hole.

And cost a lot more I bet.......

Only lunatics order new cars from BMW...showroom models are where the value is.

And given a choice why order a car the same colour as a hi-viz vest worn by motorway workers??

Eh?

Where did that come from??:nusenuse:

Eight speed adaptive auto with option for sequential manual via paddles or stick.

You'll be saying I have cloth upholstery and an eight track next.......or, perish the thought...........

My unreserved apology. I assumed that, because you had ticked the wrong box on the engine option, you had done the same on the gearbox.

Those adaptive auto boxes are great. They do suit the characteristics of a diesel engine far better though.

I've got one of these as well.........never used it, probably never will, but still very cool.......obviously not this one as it is on a crappy diesel....

And one of these...

Most noticeable thing on the video is the diesel clattering away while the sunroof is demonstrated. - the presenter was almost shooting to make himself heard.

Why in the name of all that is holy would you have a tow bar on a vehicle that struggles to generate enough torque to shift it's own weight?

And why have a leaky old sun roof when you have electronically adjusted dual zone climate control?

Because unlike the mugs who order new the showroom models come loaded with pretty much every toy available at a massive discount....... if you know how to negotiate.......

Mine was 3 months old with 17 miles on it

Actually, no. You're wrong (just for a change, like). We had storming deals because we bought two brand new cars at the same time. The killer dealer sealer was not only did we go at the end of the month, or the end of the quarter but the end of the financial year. I concede that stock cars are usually the way forward, particularly cancelled orders but I wanted my own colour with my own spec; factory order yet I still saved 22% on retail. However, to give some credence to your point, Mrs Poo saved over 30% on a stock, brand new 2 Series.

Motorway workers wear hi-vis orange, mine is sunset orange. Colour blind as well as retarded. Wow, that's unfortunate.

Mine was brand spanking and had every toy of my choice and still had a massive discount.

Besides, gutless petrols always have bigger discounts to persuade mugs into buying the weedy, heaps of crap. More torque in the hairspring of my grandfather clock.

Yeah, you are right (as normal)....mine was a mere 42% off retail....
