In the News Ultra Low Emission Zones

Clueless in most things
I saw elsewhere where a chaps bike according to the tfl checker, showed it as a chargeable bike but having checked his bikes log book in box K, it showed E3 (euro 3)

Tfl accepted his sent over scanned copy logbook showing E3 and updated their database. When he carried out the check again a few days later, he was all fine and dandy.

I just found a 2007 bird on ebay and used that reg on the new T charge and it came back

Thank you for using the T-Charge checker. Your vehicle is not subject to the T-Charge.
Your vehicle meets at least the Euro 4 / IV standard (Euro 3 if you are a motorised tricycle or quadricycle).

Then tried the congestion charge for the same reg
Based on the vehicle registration details you have entered and the classification information held by the DVLA or DVANI and TfL on this day, this vehicle is exempt from the Congestion Charge.

Then tried the ulez that starts in october 2021 and again shows for the same 2007 bird
You are not subject to the ULEZ.

Mine’s a 2018 BMW 335D X Drive M Sport Shadow Edition but she’s EU6 and cleaner than most petrols.

It seems then Scotty, that you will have to get rid of your 2006? one and get a 2007 registered one or try something different. The ktm not pass?

I think part of the problem is the date they are using for ulez

How much is the ULEZ charge? How to avoid paying
Vehicle type Min. emission standard ULEZ Charge if below emission standard
Motorbikes Euro 3 (all bikes registered since Jul 2007) £12.50
Cars & small vans Petrol Euro 4 (since Jan 2006)
Diesel Euro 6 (since Sept 2015) £12.50
Vans Petrol Euro 4 (since Jan 2007)
Diesel Euro 6 (since Sept 2016) £12.50
Lorries & coaches Euro VI (since Jan 2014) £100

if that's right then they maybe using the date of july 2007 as their benchmark rather than bikes who have attained euro 3 before that date and if you can prove the bike is euro 3 then they should be open to updating their data base

Don't worry. Pow-lo will be along later to explain it all to you. Again.
Nah. I’m done wasting my thumbs explaining stuff to Beaker. He can’t read English and, on the rare occasions he chooses to, he ignores the content nd proceeds to ask intolerably thick questions. Even when he gets it in stereo from two of us.

He will never accept that my car is faster, more powerful, more economical, cooler, more aesthetically pleasing and generally smells better than his.
