I was going to explain but I really cant be arsed !
FFS, Slim! Have you forgotten what happened when we (very painstakingly) tried to explain how it's damn near impossible to ignite hydrocarbon vapour with a fag end? :BangHead:

I don't recall that. I do recall you trying to say it was safe to walk round a fuel tank with a fag hanging out of your mouth - is that what you mean??

:D

Not very!
In fact its quite boring pointless & a little bit cack from a real petrol head's point of view, at least that bm of yours is rear wheel drive which earns you 1 brownie point out of a possible 10 :D
I'm back on zero then I'm afraid and a boremobile yank made Honda Accord v6 Coupe with FWD. Not exactly a drivers car. I do miss my 7 series though, it was a supreb bit of engineering but there were a few things just about to need more money than the car was worth spent on it which is a great shame.

Do tell more...
Honda Accord V6 Coupe has taken the place of the 7. The 7 had another CPS fail after 3 months and the BM warranty system meant that it was almost impractical to sort it out under warranty. So... I was looking for a cheap and economical runabout and somehow ended up with a 3 litre v6 that is only about 4" shorter than the 7 series. Not a modern car but quite nice. I do miss the toys on the 7 and the car itself but head ruled heart for a change, so now there are 6 Hondas in the family as bought the daughter a civic

I didn't say it was safe. I said it was incredibly difficult to ignite hydrocarbon vapours with a fag end. You had the reasons why and methodology explained by Slim and me several times but you were having none of it. As you say "None so blind as those that will not see."

Get your facts straight, numb nuts.

If you look back you will see that you did not and still have not answered the question I asked - that was a simple 'yes or no' answer - you answered a different question that nobody asked.

Nothing wrong with Honda cars - probably just about the most sensible car that you can buy. Well made, well finished, good motors. Mrs A had a Civic for a few years and it was faultless.

I think the Honda legendary rep for reliability has taken a bit of a knock in the last couple of years.

I was quite smitten with the Accord estate when it was launched. Mrs A said it looked like a hearse so that never happened!!

Shame, I have always fancied a hearse, but more along these lines...
