AB will be along in a mo to berate you about your house/garden/etc.

Meanwhile...well done for picking the best colour. Crap brickwork, BTW. :D

Cat and Fiddle. I didn't set any records getting there though.

Especially as I had the mrs on the back (though that's just an excuse really).

If they did give a shit they could put it in the compost bin

I've read that shit makes good compost if mixed with a bit of sawdust or something but it's now recommended to use the poo of carnivorous humans.

Thing is, that compost bin is in full view of the road not to mention the butty-van across the way. You might be interrupted.

Please don't take the thread off subject

Hilarious. I'm not even convinced it's a compost bin. I think it's a stupid-looking plant pot.

But yeah, I don't care because it's outside a pub in the middle of nowhere that's closed anyway (the pub not the nowhere, although it's hard to tell if nowhere is open or closed).

Thanks for all the support :beer-toast1:

Presumably it closed as the hundreds of bikers that turned up there in the summer didn't spend any money there?

Almost as little as the thousands of hikers must have spent there.
Never been there but know it was a 'biker's haunt'.

Unfortunately neither bikers nor hikers indulge in pastimes that line up with copious amounts of alcohol being consumed.

Thought they might sell a few pies though?

There is a pub near us on a good biking road and also on The South Downs Way...always a lot of people there in the Summer, but changes hands frequently. All that glitters is not always gold.

The road, known as the Cat & Fiddle road, is a biker haunt. I don't think many stopped at the pub.
