The O'BASH !

Right folks, Damien has been working his socks off to organise this event, and it you look at the Website or the attached Poster you will see how fookin big it is !

Its also part of a Community Event and its really good to see the Village of Carnlough (in Ireland, not Scotland !!) being so much involved and the Cancer Fund for Children benefitting as well.

You don't nee me to tell you how much work that young maaaan has put into this, just look at the poster and see whats involved.

So well done to him and Scott who, I believe annoyed, sorry helped as well !

So accrding to the countdown clock its only 57 days away, and counting !!

:yo:

Potted Itinerary for the O'Bash

Ladies, gentlemen and Robbo.

The weekend will look something like this:

Thursday
  • Is anyone planning to arrive on Thursday? John Bell perhaps.

Friday
  • Some more 'Birds ride into town
  • On arrival, you'll each get an information pack and a raffle number (don't lose this as it'll be needed on Saturday night)
  • The hostess with the mostess, Scott, will dish out a few goodies
  • A 'free' pre-dinner drink each in the hotel's lounge
  • 'Steak Night' dinner in the Churchill Suite - 2 Course (Steak & Dessert with "free" bottle of wine per couple). If you don't like wine, I'll have it @tu*. Please let me know in advance how you'd your steak cooked and/or if you're a veggie.
  • Drink

Saturday
Scott and I still have to test-ride the route but it'll go something like this ....
  • Irish contingent join us (not sure what time)
  • Leave the hotel @ 1000 ish
  • Photos at the Dark Hedges
  • Bushmills Distillery. I've negotiated some free miniatures as part of the entry fee which is £6. Please let me know in advance if you want the tour.
  • Lunch in Bushmills
  • A blast around the NW200 course
  • Joey's Bar in Ballymoney and a visit to the Dunlop Memorial Garden
  • Back to Carnlough for 4pm ish.
  • Dinner in the Churchill Suite. Table D’hote menu (menu choices taken at Saturday breakfast)
  • More drink

Sunday
This is the BIG day
  • Rideout from Carnlough @ 1030 to Portrush. We'll be at the head of the procession and show those other mofos how to ride man8um
  • Stop in Portrush for 90 minutes. Worth seeing the Mini gathering.
  • Back to Carnlough for 2:30 ish
  • Too much to mention. See poster.
  • BBQ and live band. The Lee Hedley band is/was the first 'Western' band to play for colonel Gaddafi. Fact.
  • Lots more drink to finish off the weekend
  • Fireworks from an offshore barge.
  • Almost forgot. Drink.

Monday
Back to Russ and start to prepare for Oban!!!!

Think of me when you get to Ballymoney.

The town where I grew up. Loads of family still alive and buried there. My grandparents are buried about 20 feet from Joey. I wonder if they can hear the engine screaming. :-0) Joey used the Dunloy road up past the cemetery as his unofficial test track. The local coppers turned a blind eye. :-0)

I wonder if anyone can hear your relatives "screaming" still alive and buried is not a nice thought,

And he's "supposed" to be the site pedant,:wank: and an ignoramus like me can pick up on that!! :dunno:

This is a mock-up ... I superimposed a draft of our banner picture on the bridge.

The real thing will go going up at the start of August just after their festival completes.
