RIP
As there is only a week to go, I wanted to give some directions to the Legion in Turriff for those who haven't been there yet.
LEGION MAP
When approaching Turriff you will come past a garage on the left then up the hill past the Swimming Pool to the Roundabout at the top (Tesco sign next to it) turn right at the roundabout and ride along until the road turns sharply left (its a crossroads but the main road goes to the left) at that point the Legion is on your right hand side on the corner so turn right there (into Schoolhill) and their car park is directly behind the building with the entrance just down from the turning.
I will be hanging around the Vale in Fyvie most of the afternoon on Friday so if you wanted to pop into their car park before heading to Turriff I can see you there.
If all those booked into the Legion could also give them a call sometime over the next few days to make sure of your room, their contact details are here. I have already told them and the rooms are booked but it would be good if those who haven't already spoken to them to give them a bell just to confirm your room.
CONTACT DETAILS
3 Single Rooms
Damien McDonald
Scott McLeod
Roy Gartside
5 Double Rooms
Rob & Nikki Dunbavin
Dave & Ros
Colin Lowry (single occupancy)
Mark (single occupancy)
John Bell (single occupancy)
1 Twin Room
Tim (at least one single suppliment !)
Once you get to the Legion and get settled in, I have arranged a taxi/mini bus to collect you all so you can come to Fyvie to meet up in the Vale for something to eat (if you want) in the evening and there will be the same taxi to take you back there later in the evening.
On the Saturday morning there will be another bus collecting us all from Turriff and Fyvie to go to Lochter for those that are coming and then will drop us all off again after. That bus is due to pick up at 8.15am at Turriff.
There was supposed to be a Treasure Hunt Saturday afternoon but as Kenny has pulled out its a free afternoon to have a look around and please yourself or I can suggest a mini ride out.
Again Saturday night, transport to and from the Vale is provided.
Sunday we will go over to Corgarff Castle, thos wanting to go in will be paid for, then a quick stop for lunch nearby before heading back to Fyvie (round trip about 130 miles) where we can all ride in together to the Homecoming Festival Gala at Fyvie Castle where we can park next to the Castle (I have pucks for the gravel!)
Again Sunday night the transport will be provided.
Think thats about it, hope everyone is ok with it.
