they are quite wide. when mine were delivered i didn't know if they had sent me a wide pair by mistake but I can's see any text/code that indicates they are wide. A little too wide for me with thin summer socks but spot on with thicker winter jobs.

I'll second that about their width.
My Roadstar GTX's in a nine are a perfect fit, and that's from someone who always wears a wide pair of 9 1/2 Clarks shoes.
Comfy all day long with them, and they are still not worn out after 4 years.

Roadstar GTX's arrived and yes the fit on size 43 boot is nice and wide and comfortable in both thick and thin socks MF you were spot on about the Clarke's shoe similarity 'G'width. After struggling with Sidi Black Rain boots for too long I now have a boot that is even more comfortable than my slippers and hopefully more waterproof!8rfl@ Thanks for all the advice lads.:bow:
Just got a pair of Daytona mstar gtx nearly new on ebay.
They are great to give me a bit more leg lenth when moving bike.
But soles are thick making upchange difficult
Ive moved gearlever up and down but as splines are wide apart cant find perfect position
Any ideas please??

Maybe find a way of making the gear lever a bit thicker? Or bending it with heat if you are brave enough.
Or corrective surgery
Might just be a case of getting used to the new boots? I remember feeling a massive difference when switching back and forth between summer boots and the massive courier style boots that I used in winter. Never felt the urge to mess with the lever position though. The courier boots are used for gardening now. In fact I am just about to put them on!!

Good decision. Getting shot sounds a bit painful.I had similar probs when I bought a new pair of crosser boots.

I bought a pair of Sidi Adventure 2 to ride on the big Panzer couple of weeks ago. Take a bit of getting used to on the gear change because they're a bit thicker than my AlpineStars race boots (which look a bit silly on a GS) but incredibly comfortable. I could walk around in them all day, they're that comfy.
