Cam chain tensioner replacement Happy Xmas!!

Many thanks for the very clear instructions. Just changed mine today at 35,500 miles..with the new one my wife bought from Jaws as my Christmas present. All very smooth. I did need to give the old CCT a light tap with a rubber mallet to break the seal with the gasket and a bit of white spirit helped clean the old gasket away. So now onto the headlight bulb replacemnent and then the nippy normans horn
Thanks to my wife and Jaws also for the black levers and carbon tax disk, starting to look much better

CCT bolts - torque setting

Ready to rock! CCT installed, bolts torqued, 8mm end cap in place.

Quick question - I will be doing this at the weekend, what is the correct torque setting for the CCT bolts?

Is torquing necessary on this part?

Just nip them up.. No need for a torque setting ...

I do hope you are not fitting an X11 unit as this has now been proven to cause the slippers and chain to wear prematurely.. Twas a good idea and at the time the only real answer, but things have moved on a LOT since the X11 CCT's were used

I bought the CCT off some old(ish) bloke based in Norwich, did a mail order to Paris, sorted me right out.

I only replied on this thread, as I am guessing the process for replacing a JAWS CCT is the same as the X-11 unit.
