So where has Ian's thread in the iffy section gone...??

I thought we didn't delete threads on this site :dunno:

If it's been deleted because someone has griped about it behind the scenes, then that is wrong.

If it has been done on that basis then the whole Iffy section should be deleted as lots of people have complained about stuff in there before.

Either we have a rule.... or we don't :dunno: We can't have a part time rule

Would someone in admin briefly outline why they have deleted the thread without a word?

Is that how it's going to be on here now? If somebody doesn't like something, somebody will slip in and delete it anonymously and without a word?

Forget about the content for a while, there's been loads of stuff posted in the iffy section that people haven't agreed with and it's always been stated that threads don't get deleted here. So what's different :dunno: :dunno:

Many moons ago, Reefer was banned for publicly stating he wanted to see photos of Fat Bert sprawled over the road.

So why aint we banning the thread originator for publicly promoting alledged images of person / persons loosing there life.

Wheres the difference.

And before some of you start whinging on im on a which hunt, dont bother. I dont give a toss which member posted the link, they would be thought of in the same way by me.

Glad to see the thread has gone. I only hope The thread starter thinks twice next time.

i too looked at the video,and yes..i did feel very sick at the content,would i have looked knowing what it contained...definately not.there was a warning of it not being of "nice stuff" which i ignored because i'm inquisitive(or nosey)of what it contained.i don't quite see it the same as reefer wanting to see bert sprawled all over the road,as you do martin..but thats the way you see it.i think that the point is that however unsuitable the thread was...it has been removed by someone when there is,or seems to be a policy of non removal of threads on this forum...this has clearly happened,and without contacting the author to explain so.....

I dont want bans Martin, although thanks for your support; I havent been writing on the site long, but ive been reading. Its about how we read ourselves, and we must remember that guests read this too, i did for a long time without logging in. Its finished now though, i think the points made, although i would like to know where the link went, was it voluntery, or was it the administrater??? Doesnt matter, i posted, then thought i was being wimpy, then the real members backed me up. Its been a very active thread, this is my last word in it, thanks to everyone whos contributed, whether for or against. One thing, this was not against a person in particuler, but as someone else said, what do we look at next week????? Sorry to some, thanks to others, George

The difference being that Reefers post was directly aimed at a particular person & had threats actually been carried out then the moderators of this forum could have found themselves answering to a court of law why they allowed threats to be published
