Just got back from town...Nice day off I thought... Get a bit done...

Little did I know..

Some kid threw himself off the top of the multi storey car park in Kiddy, right in front of me.....

For feck sake...

The twat was only about 17 or 18... Dialled 999 got the mob in to clear up..

Trouble was. he was still alive (just) all his head was smashed to pieces...his body, twisted arpound unnaturally...

Its not the first time I have witnessed a death (army etc) but its the first time someone so young has thrown it all away right in front of my eyes...

if I had been 3 paces further, he would have hit me....

feck... shaking like a leaf still...Might have a wee dram to see if it will calm me down a bit...Police coming round soon for a "chat"...

what a way to start the weekend eh ???

Hope Ianrobbo's day goes better than mine..

Unimaginable Rolfy...........

Accept any offers of councelling that the law offer you - I saw a young girl on a push bike go under the back wheels of an HGV when I was in my early teens, the scene was undescribable, pretended to just shrug it off but deep down it disturbed me for many years.

You poor bloke. Thats awful. Thinking of you - and as the others said, do take advantage of any help offered. We all think we're tough and 'can cope', but stuff bites back after a while of pretending. There are a few of us around that have tried the 'be tough' act. Please don't cos it seriously doesn't work.

Look after yourself. :k

I have seen so much death in my job, I was one called the grim reaper as every time I was on duty we had a death. And I haven't forgot any of the faces or next of kin, doesn't matter how many years go by. If you are bothered, talk to someone, it will come back and get you if you don't. I never have and it does haunt me now.

What an inconsiderate git the person was.

Talk it over with everyone you can, ASK for the Police to arrange victim support when they take the statement / have a word. ( They should ask You if you want it) Well, we do anyway!

It really annoys me when someone tries to top themselves in front of a crowd, it's not as if there are no other ways to do yourself in.... but on the other hand, it takes bloody guts ( no pun) to jump off / into / infront of anything if your mind is straight...

Just think... You could not have done anything to change the situation, and did your best to deal with the incident when it happened..

Thoughts.

Dave, do not feel too bad mate.. For all you know he could just as easily been TRYING to hit you..

Although nowt for def at the moment there does seem to be a lot of this 'nearly hit me' going on.. It could be yet another sick trend . If I am gonna die I am gonna take someone with me type thing..

Just be happy he missed you and your family still has a good man at home.

Hi guys & gals,

many thanks for all your well wishes...

I have been offered a session by the victim support councellor (hopefully early next week). Turns out she is Dr. Constantine who I have seen before on another matter, so I do know and trust her.

The big problem with this, is that I felt, and still feel totally helpless with the situation... And all I can keep seeing is the kids head all smashed up with the blood pool getting bigger around it...

learned later this afternoon that he passed away on the flight in the air ambulance to the hospital... Dont know whether I am glad or sad about it...

But as our next door neighbour said to me "Shit happens".

Then had to repalce a front tyre on the car,coz it was coming off the rim  ...Only found out when I checked the tyre pressures

I feckin give upfl4g71

Hope tomorrows better (as Ian said... cant get any worse:dunno: )

Fook me Rolfy, that is not nice. Dunno what to say really :dunno:

I suppose a feeling of helplessness is natural enough cos there is/was nothing you can do about it.

Don't feel sad though - it's not your job to feel sad as he has achieved want he wanted and has attained his desired Nirvana now.

I'll have a wee noggin wiv ya tonight mate!!
