Nobody has ever,ever understood the Vauxhall 'V' names of the sixties and seventies.

If I remember rightly the Ventora estate was called a Victor even though there was a different car entirely in the range already called a Victor.

You live on a steep hill, you have a drive big enough for three cars so why when the temperature is -5° would you park your car on the road & then wash it?

He was probably a short trousered roofer or postman. After cleaning the car he would have put the top down then gone fer a cruise to the supermarket
