I agree they're taking the piss with the valuations and would never consider selling anything to them myself but to be fair they don't force anyone sell their car/bike to them.

Also I'm sure they get screwed over often by people bodging major problems and selling to them so will loose money on some motors they buy.

I think if people get fleeced by them then it's their own fault for not doing their research and finding out what their car/bike's worth. It only takes 2 minutes on the trader website to get an idea of a reasonable price.

Reminds me of some the half wits you see on watchdog, a lot of them seem to be asking to be ripped off.

ps. I don't work for or have no affiliation with webuyanycar/bike.com

Steer well clear if Viva Moto are involved. I brought a Fireblade off them after writing mine off in May 2008. I could not get up there as was still recovering but looked ok in pics and they told me just a few scratches. When it was delivered it was a piece of crap and i had to go through the small claims court and bailiffs to get my money back. I won and it cost them ?500 more, steer well clear of the :wank:

I bought a cbr 600rr from these guys august last year, it was very cheap and ive just done a deal with them on a ducati 748. Had no issues at all.

why would you sign for a bike that was not right??? urrmmmmmm c7u8

Duh, if you read his post proper he says "I could not get up there as was still recovering but looked ok in pics..."

He obviously bought it based on the pictures which weren't what they seemed.

Whatever you do.....DO NOT ENTER YOUR REG NUMBER on the web site, as a number of bikes have been cloned, webuyanybike have said that it has been hacked!.............yeh right!

Hands up here, I am probably missing something - but I have never understood this issue of not publishing number plates (or plates on photos) for fear of cloning ?

Surely if you were going to try and clone a bike you could just drive about until you saw the same make/model/colour bike on the road - note down the number plate on show and hey presto !! (??????)

Might be different if you go about shouting your name/address/bike details etc to all and sundry - but hey what do I know .. ? Or what have I missed ?

Ok.. I am usually quite negative about these sort of firms, but I do have an update on this one which, to be fair, does show them in a better light ( maybe )

After receiving an email with the offer, I replied in a not terribly complimentary way ( you lot know me ! )

I had a fone call from them this morning.
Apollogised if I had been offended by the offer, but it is an automated system and worthwhile bikes they follow up with a personal call...

I said thanks but no thanks.. In all honesty, if you guys want to take the piss and insult, that is up to you.. it is a bit late to then follow up with what might be a reasonable offer..
I further said no matter what they offered now, they would not get my bike..

To which he said ok, so you would turn down 10k then ? ( Rather smugly I thought )

Yep, stick your 10k .. I REALLY aint interested in selling to you..

At that point he sort of gave up an put the fone down.

Now that all sounds snotty.. but like I say I have to be fair and it was ME being snotty not them.

Quite possibly we could have come to an amicable arrangement as they DID take the time to fone this morning.

In my case I shall put the 12 on fleabay shortly where I expect it to make about the 6k mark judging by all the others ( will help towards my solar panels !! @tu*:-0) )

Hi again..

Did read it properly, I understand he could not get there. If something gets delivered and your not happy (like him) you don't sign or pay for it and it goes back. He didn't make much sense that's all man8umman8um :neenaw:

Well maybe you actually need to buy a bike from them before you comment :bang:

They take a small deposit first, i left ?100. Then you pay once you have seen the bike and your happy. If i wasnt happy, i'd send it back!!!! :dunno:

I saw these guys on a track day at cadwell, think they use to race!
