As some may know, my car got hit by someone while parked on the roadside. The insurance garage came to collect it and decided its repairable, which is a bit of a shame. Anyway I put my reg into the We buy any car site and they valued my 2017 ford focus titanium diesel at £10.5k. They have since upped it twice and it now stands at £11.6k. They must think I'm stupid. Who wants to bet that, when I go, they say having looked at the car they can't go anywhere near their original offer. Then they will try to pressure me into taking their new lower offer.

We sold our Duster to we buy any car, we were happy with their on line valuation but when we took it in the guy went onto the computer & the value had gone up, the valuations fluctuate hourly apparently.

If you have given a good description of the car and they try to lowball you then that would indeed be a bit of a scam, assuming you haven't gone through with it yet?
