As your leader of the 'Off Squad' I feel it is my duty to remind you that the silly season fast approaches.

For those of you who are yet to join my small, but ever increasing group of riders, be warned.

No riding in anything other than full leathers,

And no coming off.

This shows why.....http://videos.streetfire.net/hottestvideos/2/23BA3E19-8624-43F0-8C1B-401F2B027652.htm

All those injuries look a little worrying

My two inch square knee graze was sore enough thanks

On my way to the train station this morning, bike on it's side at a road junction, rider throwing his gloves onto verge in disgust. Helped him pick his brand new Aprillia Falco 1000 (I think), up off the road. Cosmetic only but still gonna be expensive. Wet road with ice warning on car temp, he says the front just went from under him as he slowed for the junction, nothing but pride and wallet dented. Maybe a little to much front brake :dunno:

Just got them

My new years resolution was to stop riding in jeans and trainers. I always wear the leather jacket.

I bought some leather trousers that fit, as opposed to the pair in the wardrobe that didn't. Thanks for the timely reminder anyway.

I have had a couple of slow speed offs but always with full gear on, hence no injuries. A couple of years ago I stopped wearing the full gear due to my expanding waistline and contracting bank balance. My bank balance still hasn't caught up with my waistline, but saw some alpinestars on ebay, got them and intend to wear them all the time now.

Hows the leg healing since your re-op Buzz?
I got busted up pretty bad last July, but thank god for decent kit.
Arai astro r
Dainese fully armoured leathers
alpine stars boots and gloves, all cost a fortune but worth every penny
the only gravel rash I had was a little bit on my elbow.
I slid a long way down the road before hitting the kerb which flicked the bike and me into the air 20yds if I hadn't hit the kerb I reckon I'd have walked away.

Any recommendations for back protector please.

Everyone seems to agree that bikes are a dangerous way to amuse ourselves so why do we keep doing it:dunno:, then again, all sorts of things are dangerous if we get it wrong.

Pissing on electric fences is dangerous & silly but some people apparently get enjoyment out of it.
