I'm getting a great deal of vibration on my 97 carburated bird, particularily through the left peg.

I don't think it is the timing chain as this caused vibes through the right peg and was sorted a couple of weeks ago.

As anybondy else experienced this and can shed any light on the possible problem.

Hi Mike
I had this same problem , and it's normally one of two things.
If the chain is not lubed properly or if its too tight.
Rectifying these two things has got rid of left peg vibration for me in the past .
If the chain has been too tight in the past it might have damaged the final drive shaft bearings out of the gearbox that lead to the small cog , which might also cause vibration . This is unlikley though for a blackbird.

All the best

and the opposite ?

I get a tingle through my right peg at most road and engine speeds.

Bike is 2000 inj, with 3500 miles so unlikely to be timing chain. I hope.

Any ideas someone, or is this normal?

Thanks for the suggestions.

I've booked it into a shop for Mot and service and asked them to check it out. Will post the cause when they (hopefully) find it.
