Used to go to Cork for day trips, arrive early morn, hire a car and explore...

Roads are OK ish in a car, pretty shite for a bike.....

You must do the ring of Kerry, fantastic road, and the scenery is breathtaking....

Go to Kinsale for good food, try to travel along the coast road from Kilarney to Kinsale, take yer time and enjoy it....

People, I love the Southern Irish, so laid back, so friendly, I for one would love to move and settle out there....

Agree with all before except

the roads in the North are mainly excellent. Try the coast road form Larne round to Portrush. a few airborne bits if you are really moving on. Different attitude to bikes in Ireland. Peeps tend to be saying " Go on son...give it some welly" rather than "Look at that lunatic on the motorbike" If you get the weather you''ll have a great time anywhere in Ireland...if you don't get the weather there is always the Guiness!

main roads are excellent and as good as traffic free with a guarrantee of no tail backs. B&Bs will be cheap in June if you stay away from the main tourist traps. Best ride in these islands is the main road from Cork to Killarney. If you are doing the Bash in May we can meet up and make arrangements for a get to gether in Ireland

haven?t ridden in Ireland but toured in the car several times on golf tripsh1d1ng2

A roads with nearside overtaking lanes are just about OK but beware the

lump, ripple or hole that won?t be signed for you.c7u8

the others... well... treat em with total respect cus you will have no idea what the surface condition
could be round the next corner... and they have the full range.

regards :yo:
