attending a wedding near Cardiff next week, staying for a few days at Culverhouse Cross, moving on to Pembroke for a week then a couple of days at Chippenham on the way back.

We plan to spend a day in Bath when based at Chippenham, but other than that nothing planned. Quite like the look of the train ride up Snowdon but I don't think we will go that far North. Not this time anyway.

Other than (obviously ) forming relationships with the sheep, any recommendations on places to visit??

The Dr Who museum, and the massive water feature outside the Millennium centre..Stand where Cpt Jack and other cast members of Torchwood stood

Walk around the harbour and get ice creams or have a coffee euro style in the street at one of the many cafe/restaurants

Chippenham is in England.:eusa_whistle:

True, but as you're spending most of your time in sheep dating territory and you seem troubled by the possibility of temptation - "Other than (obviously ) forming relationships with the sheep" - I thought I'd mention it, for your own good.

My old stomping ground. What I will say is under no circumstances ever, ever, ever do you fill your car with fuel at the Tesco at Culver. Bastards got done for watering the fuel down few years back.

Cardiff Castle is well worth a visit. Fabulous inside and outside and dripping with history. Castell Coch is also very much worth a visit. It’s just outside Cardiff, off the A470 heading north out of the city.

If Mrs AB wants to go shopping, St David’s centre is mahoooooosive, almost on a par with Bluewater. Can be a few steak and kidney lock openers on weekends and school holidays though.

As has been said above, the Bay is great place for food and drink but you do get the odd dickhead at night that can’t hold his/her drink.

Boat trips across the Bay are pleasant if you haven’t been before.

Use proper car parks down the Bay though, especially at night and if you’re taking the BM. Don’t park on the street.

La Cantina (I think it’s called, Mexican joint down the Bay) is a great place to eat and drink. If you want a proper curry, and I mean proper, one of THE best Indian restaurants I’ve ever been in, and I’ve been in a few around the world, is the Juboraj on Heol-Y-Deri, in Rhiwbina. It’s about 20 to 40 minute drive from Culver, closer to 20 outside rush hour but parking nearby can be quite an arse cos it gets busy in there. Book in advance.
