few blokes been hagning around my house this is highly unnormal as we live in a very very quite estate only 20 house and a pretty well to do area, you know the type

they have been looking in from outside the house on both side ie from main road and formt he esate (which they had to walk throu)

i go a walk every night at the same time and tonight i decided i should take the dog out again, so off i set, i come back and there standing outside the entrace to the estate leaning on a wall, leering at me and calling my dog over (who as always was on his lead)

then i text bro to come out and walk me to the shop, he went to climb the fence to avoid them only they had thour the same and where trying to climb inot our garden

they followed us and where shouting insults at us 5 in total

what do i do???

ignore them? call a few bikers round for a "party"?
call the plod most of them know me on first name terms due to 75% of the local station at some point having been to my dad for bike lessons?

Set a camcorder up at a window with a good view of where they are hanging around if possible, and give the video evidence to the police.
Why won't your dad do anything, if either of my daughters were feeling threatened I would do something about it and they are 27 & 25 years old.

Get yourself a tazer ( plenty of folk on here who are based in Spain who can get one easy ) and go talk to one of them.. Tazer the arsehole and stand over him with a carving knife ( a blunt one just in case ! ) ...

Tell him you will stop taking the pills if they dont feck off.. there is still plenty of room under the patio for more bodies..

Any of the self defence stuff is a good start.. but it can lead to overconfidence unless you are very good which is going to take time. Firearms are an answer BUT if you are caught may mean a spell in jail... Jaws suggestion of a Tazer is much more effective at very close range.

The kubotan is only small and you need to be trained to use it + there is the legal aspect of carrying one.
carry something like a can of impulse to spray in their eyes, most women carry sprays/perfumes etc round with them so it cannot be classed as premeditated, it works very well if the guy has a cigarette in his mouth when you spray him.

The first thing to do is call the Police, if you have a genuine concern over your safety and that of your family then they have a duty of care to look into the matter. If they have already started to attempt an entry by climbing over your fence then that is also grounds for the Police to come round. If you know nay very large nasty looking types then get them to come round and scare the shit out of them. However, this may only be a short term solution if they are local scrotes who may return knowing the big guys don't live there all the time. Also, if your mum is ill then you need to be concerned about her health. Sorry to upset you, but, your Dad needs to get a spine and look after his family, as Derek said, any of us with "kids" irrespective of age would definately be the first there.

Do not confront them, they could be carrying knives and all sorts these days and your life is more valuable than that. If ignoring them is not working then the Police need to be involved. Please be careful and let us all know that you are okay and the problem is solved. Go careful.

I'd get a camcorder as mentioned earlier and make sure you get good shots of their faces. Then contact the police and tell them.

Carry a personal alarm and desposable camera on you too if it helps.

Get a bigger dog. :yo: No one messes with a good German Shepherd. that sounds much more savage than she actually is.

Call the police and be very insistent that they take the matter seriously. Play the 'poor defenseless girl' card and emphasis how threatened and distressed you felt by their behaviour.

Don't take matters into your own hands or attempt to confront them because you could find yourself in a worse situation or even in the wrong.

In the short term try not to walk out on your own. Take care & let us know what happens.

BB, take a news paper folded in half and rolled up REAL tight, you'll be surprised at how much damage it can do thrust into the guys nose or knackers, another one is take some keys, put the main bunch in the palm of your hand, make a fist with the longest key pointing out between your two middle fingers, make sure the bunch in your hand fits nice because if you have to use it you don't want to damage your own hand, again, head and bollox are the best targets, preferably bollox as they will go for the upper body to gain control of you first, you are then attacking from a lower vantage point (many different household objects can be used in this manner and you dont have to carry full blown weapons for them to be effective), if you do either of these make sure it's one good clean hit to disable and then get out of there (use the shock of YOU attacking THEM to your advantage).
Bare in mind these are ABSOLUTLEY LAST RESORTS, only do this if there are no other options left open to you, remember violence will invite more violence, the best option is not to get in that situation in the first place.
As said before call the police first, they can't always be there for you but at least your worries will have been logged for you to fall back on later and keep posting on here so everyone knows your ok.d04l1ng

I suspect the police will not be too enthusiastic to get involved as at this point the obs have not committed a crime.

In my local school 2 youths well known to the police were caught damaging school property early in the evening. When a teacher (female) confronted them they told her to 'go away' or they would be forced to use physical violence towards her. They then threatened a 2nd female teacher in the same manner. This incident was immediately reported to the police with names etc. The police response was 'are they still there?' When told no they then came back with 'what do you want us to do about it then'

The modern police service eh!

If backed into a corner you may need to use the 'ways and means act' to get out of it. But be assured if you do the police will be knocking on your front door before you manage to get home as you are the soft target. The youths may give them a bit of lip and upset them and they dont want to have to deal with that.
