Its the end of an era, Bird has flown the nest.

I have decided that enough is enough with my blackbird. She has served we reasonibly well over the last two years but anything that was replaceable, (And a few that wasnt), has been replaced due to it breaking. So after I got the thing working again, I sold it.

I wont be spending as much time in here as I used to but I will pop in from time to time.

Cheers.

You said you "replaced a few things due to them breaking",i was under the impression that this was a reliable and dependable machine!Perhaps you could give your experiences,as it may be of some help to would be owners and current owners.Anyway, good luck with your new bike.

Have sold my soul and flitted over to the green side. Got a ZZR1200 on an 02 plate.

Dont get me wrong, they are a reliable bike, even Ianrobbo would have to agree BUT when they start going down the path of replacable parts going wrong it happens one after another. For example, day of getting bike home, Reg/rec went and took battery with it. Sorted that out, bolt broke off in Clutch housing, after that, front sprocket nut "welded" on, etc etc. That went on for eighteen months. Convinced it was mainly due to the first owner doing 37k in a year. Second owner doing 1k in two years, me doing 20k in eighteen months. Think it had just gotten used to sitting and doing nothing when I roll in with me size 12's. From what I can remember the replacment list is
Reg Rec x2
Batteries x2
Puncture x1
Headlight bulbs x3
dash lights x 4
rear lights x3
CCT x1
Fork seals x2
Plus the usual chain, sprockets, tyres, oh and the "loom" problem reared its head too.

Seriously think that me and that bike wasnt suited, glad to be rid.
