Scottish bike show

Went to the Bike show in Edinburgh today, in the car as I've still no bike:cry: .

A bit disappointing as there seemed to be less bargains than usual. Most stuff seemed to be the usual price but with a sign saying "sale" or "bargain" next to it.


Had a good look and a seat on the new ZZR1400........ What a pile of sh1te that is. Yes it may well be good for around 200mph, but it just seems a little unfinished to me.
The exhaust can ends are pants. Dodgy spot welds and the outlet detailing looks a tad home made.
The black plastic adjustable mirror parts looked a bit rough too.

And that fairing....there's a space in the middle of the side panels that looks like a bit is missing, the adjacent plastic is a bit loose and floppy.

PTP we had a great day at the show, & also slung my leg over the ZZR1400 looks bulky front heavy in the fairing department, mind you Suzuki love it as its even more Fookin UGLY & poorly finished than the Busa. Coupers MC said thier will be no demo ZZR bike as they have a full order book :} :} :} sure you do.
I can't wait till they have on in stock the remind the TWAT how Kawazaki can't keep up with the demand MY man8um

I did enjoy the show, just mentioned the negatives in my first post.

Had a seat on the FJR1300. Quite like it, but I aint spending ?10K on a bike. The sales bloke (Carricks) said they wont have a demonstrator, "but we will have the Fazer and the MT01" Oh good I replied, That will help me decide then wont it?

Also saw the BMW R1200GS Adventure. That is one BIG machine, with a comparibly sized price tag too ..


Just glad I went yesterday, I'd need to take a snow mobile today.8ree!

Bugger, bugger, bugger. The show's been cancelled today due to the snow, so I've missed it for this year. :xm :cry:

I was hoping to book some test rides and see if there were any offers on the go. Ah well it looks like I'm going to have to trawl the dealers next weekend.
