It's a great achievement, but why does he have be so aggressive in celebrating?
He's jockanese.... I told ya.
Its because us Jocks have so little experience in celebrating victory.
Last big one was Banockburn.
He’s just letting out the pent up emotion, he’d just played his longest ever match, finishing at 4am.
I really don’t follow professional tennis but what on earth has happened to Raducanu (sic)? I watched the semi and final of the US Open and got the impression her victory was a flash in the pan (and total respect either way, fantastic achievement) - to me it was more her opponent in the final lost it by throwing tantrums rather than raducanu won it.
I've seen lots of sports people letting out pent up emotion when they succeed, usually it's elation/excitement/pleased not a look like they're about to charge kilts flying waving a blood covered claymore.
On those occasions when I won a sailing race/event, no matter how physically exhausting, exasperating or gruelling, I smiled with happiness - apart from when my wife wouldn't believe I'd won because I was first back into harbour. She wouldn't believe it until the others got back and confirmed it!!
