I think your problem may be that the forum has defaulted to only showing users threads from the past month.

Look at the sports forum's front page, where you can see the thread titles, then look at the bottom left corner. Select "show threads from the beginning" then press "SHOW THREADS"............ all should be restored.

well the worst bike out there at the moment is the Yamaha and they havent a prayer of catching up in the development stakes untill at least halfway through the season if at all ... Suzuki are the dark horses .. Danni is a possibillity, but you cannot rule out the reigning champ....

Don't you think he shed enough blood last season with all that falling off 'n' stuff? (He'd be better off in stock car racin'! There's a few rides goin' at Bellvue, so I've heard! Nobody wants him as a team-mate, though, on account of his ability to crash two bikes at the same time!)

I refer the honourable gasbag to the years 2004 and 2005, respectively. Admittedly, the attempt to give Nicola a shot at the championship by giving her a four-race, fifty point lead may have been a trifle ambitious, but you may rest assured that there will be no repetition of such folly in the coming season!

So the gloves are off early this season b0x1

I sense some concern in the Rossi camp....

The pressure that ol' Vale McDonald can't seem to handle is starting to build...

Agreed! It's long been acknowledged that Valentino is the best of an (admittedly) very good bunch of riders. Ergo, the other riders are, as you correctly observe, "inferior" to the great man. :-:

Lebowski said:

Agreed! Six facts, to be precise: that's how many World Titles Vale's won! (I'm sure you knew that already, ya big tease!) :p

Speculation only, I'm afraid; let's see him prove it under race conditions.
Lebowski said:

Fact - temporary though it might be, and with her Honda buddies to help her she just about made it, didn't she?!

Lebowski said:
Rossi was second.
Well...It had to happen once in seven years, didn't it?

Puuuuuuleeeeease.... Hopkins, fastest throughout the whole test decides to run a race simulation on the last day....Rossi who had been lanquishing so far down the order decided to try a qualifying tyre.....

Despite this underhand, attention seeking, desperate move, he only goes a fraction of a second quicker than Hopkins...

The sign of a worried man....

We've been having "chats" with friends in Holland and they've suggested that the Winterdijk tribune offers a better view than Strubben, so we're going to contact the track direct and order tickets (fax them on: 0031 592 356 911).
Apparently, Winterdijk is the best place to see Valentino overtaking the "slow boys" on his way to the win! :yo:

...Hmmm...

Just had a quick look at the MotoGP News website... p0pc0rn41

...Coulda sworn that Lebs-y claimed Rossi sneakily fitted a qualifying tyre in order to beat John Hopkins' time at the Sepang test...

...I'm sure he did...didn't he...?!

...He said something like:

Lebowski said:
..Rossi who had been lanquishing so far down the order decided to try a qualifying tyre..Despite this underhand, attention seeking, desperate move...
Obviously, this implies that Hopkins was on race tyres and that Rossi only went faster than Hopkins because he was on a qualifying tyre. But on the MotoGP News website it says that Hopkins was on a qualifier, too!

...Doesn't it....?!

...SIGH-hhh...!!

..."underhand, attention seeking, desperate..."

(shakes head, sadly, then turns indignantly to face Rossi's accuser:

"How could you try to deceive us so cruelly, Lebs-y? How could you?! Now...Go and wash your mouth out with soapy water, you wicked, wicked boy!)

Oh dear....once again the Vale McDonald camp (oer Missus) clutch at straws...

Now did I say at the time Rossi was on a qualifier Hopper was too?

:dunno:

What I said was that as Hopper was running a race simulation, The Worried One sneakily thought, aha! he won't go faster on race rubber, let me steal the limelight once again, times are hard, I might be past it, but at least I can say I won first practice....

bl4hbl4h

Had Hopkins been trying, there is no doubt he would have been quicker...

Nice try....

...Has it taken ya two days to come up with that...?! :p

Sheesh..! That?s so lame it?s even making me walk with limp, M8!!

Let?s get the facts sorted, shall we? d34l

?Rizla Suzuki's John Hopkins completed a dream first test of 2007 with an 800cc race simulation seven seconds inside his old 990cc race time...That seven-second race reduction would have advanced Hopkins from sixth to third in last September's Malaysian GP.?

2006 Malaysian Grand Prix Result.

1. Rossi (on race rubber)
2. Capirossi
3. Pedrosa

That doesn?t mean to say that Hopkins is a third-rate rider... :t

...but the implications are pretty obvious....innay? p0pc0rn41

Free from time constraints and an all day (and most gracious) search for a T Shirt for his Accuser Lebs reluctantly has to set the record straight once and for all.

I repeat Sir, though I suspect that your complaint is but a smokescreen, I did not state that both Vale McD and Hopkins were both using qualifying tyres at the same time.

Vale McD who had not been able to stay with <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><ST1:pHopkins</ST1:p</st1:City> pace when they were both using the same type of tyre, decided to steal the limelight in a pathetic attempt to bolster his fast fading career whilst Hopkins was running a race simulation.

Dark Angel Let?s get the facts sorted said:
Yes let's

The only time they both used the same tyres at the same time, Hopkins 1st, Vale McD 3rd and then 5th.

Vale McD went slower than his last visit, Hopkins faster.... who's happiest, who's worried?

To me there is but one conclusion to be drawn, Vale McD the greatest rider of all time once all the true greats had retired, is a worried man.

Just like his supporters.

...That's one HELL of a straw yer graspin', Lebs - I hope ya can swim!

Remember...This is pre-season testing. Last season, the same hysteria surrounded "Knock-'em-down" Dani Pedrosa when he posted a half-decent time (only half-decent, mind you - just like Hopkins' imaginary third place in '06 if he'd posted his '07 time! (dream on, John&Jon; dream on!) :neenaw: ).

..Even though he posted the fastest time, Vale can afford to slow down - while the others continue to push to the ragged edge. He knows - as do all right-minded men - that he's the best. No more, no less!

Yeah, though I walk through the valley of Jerez - I shall not fear "Lebo"

The showdown will come soon enough... s04pb0x6
